Walk on water

So what motivates people to move, travel?

People tend to look for happiness, but I wonder how good motivator it is? Sometimes it’s a good motor to make us go forward, but sometimes it prevents us to see, what we have right here, right now. I watched this good mood documentary Expedition Happiness, and it made me wonder, how often we look happiness outside ourselves: From other people, other relationships, travels, abroad, next week and so on.

It was a good reminder for me, as I’ve been craving so much to open waters lately. Here in northern latitudes we have pretty solid water conditions as sea is frozen right now, and not a chance to sail nor surf. Winter is tougher season than summer, but very important for our ecosystem.

So I decided to change my view, and find my happiness here and now from things I already have: I went to spend a lovely day with the people that means to me the most -family-, on the sea, which is best place on earth. That ment skating on the ocean ❤

It was superb, beautiful weather, frosty and clean air, and best company. I searched this 5km track in front of Espoo, Suvisaaristo. It was the best with my crew, and a good reminder for me that grass is sometimes the most green just there, where you’re standing at.

“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.”
