My paths often go towards sea, but now I ended up to inland due my daughters work trip.
We were hanging in Austria Alps, Hintertux, and it was after all great trip to see the water cycle from the other angle I’m used to. Mountains are the opposite of all the routes of water in our planet, as the ocean is the other. The whole way, how water in our seas evaporates as gas to form clouds, runs down as ice and snow – solid water – ends up to high tops of mountains, is from liquid ocean. And now I was watching water’s long route BACK to the ocean, by form of small snowmelt streams running down from over 3 km down the hill to the valley. Surfing on solid water is called snowboarding.
Views were dazzling. Slopes were awesome. Trekking downhill 1 km elevation was an special mom – daughter time. Now I want to see the ocean again.
